What is Buzzy?

Buzzy is a low-code platform used to build web and mobile applications. We’ve been around for a while, focusing mostly on data collection apps and forms needed for fieldwork — with offline capability, geolocation, and lots of useful features.

Functional but dry. Now we’re bringing it to the design space (via the Figma plugin) and we’re excited to see what you can come up with.

Can I create a mobile (native) app?

Buzzy itself already has mobile apps and lots of cool features (see above) — we’re working on making them available through Figma so you can use your own design as the interface, rather than Buzzy’s standard UI.

How do I publish or deploy my apps?

There are 2 basic deployment patterns — as a web app and as a native app for iOS and Android. We have small, medium, large, or enterprise deployment plans (hosting) and the right one for you will depend on the requirements of your specific application (see below).

Can I self-host my Buzzy deployment or move it to my own server?

Yes, this falls under our Enterprise deployment plan

Which data center areas do you support?

We currently operate in 3 regions: the United States, the EU, and APAC (Sydney). For additional regional support under our Enterprise plan, please contact us to discuss.

Do you support corporate MDM for app publishing?

How come my fonts didn’t hit the published app?

You can use fonts from the Google Web Fonts Catalog, which Figma provides automatic access to. Local fonts are not yet supported — your published app will fall back to browser/system defaults.

Can I control my responsive layouts and subtle media queries?

We’ll let you set min/max widths on your screens and nested layout components, plus you can turn on flexible wrapping. A more detailed inspection is being prepared.
